The Seasons in Boston

Boston has a continental climate with some maritime influence. The coldest month is January although in north and west of the city are significantly colder in winter. The temperature is around from -19 ºC to -2 ºC (from -2 ºF to -28 ºF).

Spring and fall are usually mild, with varying conditions dependent on wind direction and jet stream positioning. Prevailing wind patterns. The temperature in spring is around 11 ºC (51 ºF).
The hottest month is July, with a mean temperature of 23 ºC (73 °F),  although summer is typically warm to hot, rainy, and humid, while winters oscillate between periods of cold rain and snow, with cold temperatures
.
Boston's fall foliage blazes across the city from late September through October - and often well into November. Although you can see lots of gorgeous leaves on New England fall foliage tours, you can also enjoy spectacular leaf color by touring around Boston on your own.
